Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was a child prodigy. A child of Irish roots, surrounded as she was by gifted parents and family was naturally gifted, it came as a natural. Maureen was born in this cosy haven, August 17, 1920. Her family was her parents and family members. Her mother, Marguerita Lulburn FitzSimons was a talented contralto. Charles FitzSimons owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer team in Ireland. He also owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer club and a Dublin business. Maureen FitzSimons was the second FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen loved playing rough sports when she was an infant and was extremely good in them. Her naturally-born interest with her ability for performing was remarkable. In the end, she received almost all of the Feis Awards for dramatic and acting in her country of birth. As she reached the age of 14 she was accepted by the Abbey Theater accepted her and let her live her dreams of classical theater as well as singing opera.
